Wild Driver Swerving All Over Road was NOT Drunk, Say Cops
Kennewick Police helped avert a potential tragedy Wednesday morning, when calls came in about a wild driver.
Multiple reports came in saying there was a car near Columbia Center Boulevard and 10th Ave. that was swerving into oncoming traffic, and also hitting the curb multiple times.
Officers quickly responded and were able to surround the car as it slowed and pulled over. The car finally stopped near 10th and Johnson after almost hitting a KPD patrol cruiser.
But as Officers investigated, they quickly found the driver was not inebriated in any way, but having what they said was a medical issue while behind the wheel.
TRI-CITES, Wash. Benton Franklin Transit is offering free bus services to the Benton County Voting Center. Election day is Tuesday, August 3rd.
Voters wanting to use the transit to drop off ballots can use Route 1 to arrive and be picked up for voter services, according to a statement from the Benton County Auditor.
If you need to register to vote, you have until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Registration on Election Day must be completed in person at the Benton County Voting Center, located at 2610 North Columbia Center Boulevard in Richland.
Those with lost or damaged ballots can access their ballot online here, by going to the Benton County Voting Center in person, or by calling (509) 736-3085. Regular business hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Crashes, Car Fire Keep Kennewick Police, Fire Crews Busy
A trio of crashes and car fire kept Kennewick Police tied up over the last 24 hours.
Tuesday evening, A multi-car crash near Columbia Center Boulevard and Quinault snarled traffic for some time as cars were untangled. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Police didn t say who triggered what or how it occurred.
Then Wednesday evening, another non-injury incident near Canal and Edison also held up cars for some time. This intersection has seen it s fair share of crashes.

Later Wednesday evening, fire crews responded to the area of West 2nd. Ave. and South Green Street and found a car on fire. No word if any injuries, or how it started, but it sent quite the plume of smoke into the sky.
