Homes in Old Bisbee have been evacuated in response to the Zacattack Fire that started Thursday afternoon.
The fire is north of Bisbee and south of Zacatecas Canyon and has burned 10 to 30 acres, according to the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management. The fire is moving south, but has not crested the hill yet, the Cochise County Sheriff s Office said.
Several agencies and fire departments are at the scene making good headway, officials said. Large tankers have already been assigned, and hand crews and engines are en route.
Bisbee Fire and Police are notifying residents in the area of Brewery Gulch up to Zacatecas Canyon to evacuate, which includes 30 to 50 homes in touristy Old Bisbee.
