This year s Summer Games Done Quick, which will once again be an online-only event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, starts in exactly one month s time, on 4th July, and in preparation, organisers have shared the full charity speedrun schedule.
2021 marks the second year running that Summer Games Done Quick is going online-only - traditionally, shows have been ticketed real-world events, with all speedrunning showcases being streamed online - and the precautions established last year will remain in place to ensure the continued safety of our attendees, runners, volunteers, and staff , according to organisers.

Watching speedrunners strut their stuff in Summer Games Done Quick always makes for entertaining viewing, and this year s event looks like another banger. There s GeoGuessr runs, blindfolded Super Mario 64, and even a Destiny 2 Deep Stone Crypt raid. And as usual, it s all for a good cause.
Summer Games Done Quick 2021 is scheduled to take place between 4th-11th July, with a packed-out timetable and a real mix of games. There s Dragon Age: Inquisition, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Nintendogs, Outer Wilds, Dishonored, Dead Space, and a game called Fight Crab which has certainly caught my interest. Charity speedrunning bonanza Summer Games Done Quick has revealed the schedule for July s week-long event, and it looks like another good un. Along with many old favourites, the livestreamed show will include Dragon Age: Inqusition in under an hour, a perfect score on GeoGuessr, a Factorio run, and maybe someone playing Trackmania Nations Forever while blindfolded.

PC playables coming up include FromSoftware s presidential mech game Metal Wolf Chaos XD, Psychonauts, goblin stealth game Styx: Shards Of Darkness, the fabulous Bayonetta, the Penumbra trilogy, crustractean brawler Fight Crab (don t worry, our Nate is well aware of this game), first-person parkour em up Ghostrunner, Doom Eternal s expansion, Dark Souls 3, and sandbox heist game Teardown. I m always impressed by the tricks people pull in Teardown s destrucible world, so I m quite looking forward to that.
