All entrances to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport have reopened this morning and operations at FLL are reported to be gradually returning to normal after police were investigating a suspicious package. The package was found outside of Terminal 2 and 3 just before 2 a.m.
Broward Sherriff s Office is reportedly investigating but hasn t released any details on the incident.
Travelers should expect significant delays as travel picks up for the holiday weekend and are advised to check with their airlines for departure updates.

Employees of the airport are being allowed in with their ID s, but travelers are advised to check their flight status before arriving as delays are expected. We haven t heard anything. The way we found out was being driven in different directions by our driver, said Coy Combs, who was scheduled on a 6 a.m. flight to Cincinnati, Ohio.

The all-clear has been given at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
This after Broward Sheriff s deputies closed the airport down this morning, after as we are learning now, “suspicious wires found in a vehicle parked on the upper level of the airport.”
While the investigation continues, airport officials say operations are slowly returning to normal.
