Police identified the teen as Kanye Pittman, of North Philadelphia. We thought it was firecrackers and my husband said, No. They re gunshots, a neighbor, who did not want to be identified, told NBC10.
She told NBC10 she saw the boy bleeding on the sidewalk after the shooting. So we ran up and he was laying there and I see him still breathing, she said. So I told my husband to call 911.
The teen was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:13 p.m.
At least 32 bullet casings were found at the crime scene.
No arrests have been made in either shooting and no weapons have been recovered. Police say the gunman or gunmen left behind a laser sight gun attachment.

FOX 29 s Steve Keeley has the latest details on the violent night that left at least two people dead.
PHILADELPHIA - Gun violence claimed the lives of four people across Philadelphia on Monday during a violent 12-hour span.
The first deadly shooting came just before 1 p.m., when police responded to the One Stop Deli on the 2800 block of North 25th Street for a report of a person with a gun.
Officers arrived on the scene to find 29-year-old DeShawn Talley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. Medics pronounced the Talley dead at the scene a short time later.
