2 men driven to hospital following shooting in North Philadelphia, police say

2 men, ages 23 and 25, were injured during a double shooting in North Philadelphia.
NORTH PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia after two men young men arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
Investigators said the shooting happened on the 600 block of Diamond Street around just after 2 p.m. The victims, ages 25 and 27, were each hit in the lower body by gunfire.
Both men were driven to Temple University Hospital by a private vehicle and placed in stable condition, according to police.
Officers said a firearm was found during their investigation. No arrests have been reported.

One person died and two others, including a child, had to be taken to the hospital after a wreck in Philadelphia’s Nicetown neighborhood, police said.
The crash near the intersection of King Street and Roberts Avenue happened around 1 a.m. Saturday and appeared to involve two cars, with the wreck causing major damage to both.

Philadelphia police said the child was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and a second person was taken to Temple University Hospital. Their condition was not immediately known, and authorities did not immediately identify the deceased.
As of Thursday, there had been eight shootings in which four or more people were wounded by bullets, with a total of 42 victims, The Inquirer reported after analyzing city data.
