Pittsburg police arrest man for aggravated assault and drug possession

PITTSBURG, Kan. Pittsburg Police officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of East Quincy late Sunday night after 30-year-old Keith Brown allegedly pulled a knife on his family during a dispute, according to a press release from the Pittsburg Police Department.
According to the release, while responding to the area, officers were told that Brown had fled from the back of his house. Reportedly, officers were able to establish a perimeter and begin searching the 800 block of East Jackson Street, where the suspect had fled to according to the release, on foot.

CRESTLINE A Crestline man who was arrested after a tip was provided to law enforcement regarding a package that he was to receive through Fed Ex was sentenced on drug and weapons charges on Thursday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
David A. Fuson, 56, was arraigned on Jan. 7 on eight charges related to the incident. He has been held at the Crawford County Justice Center on a $150,000 bond.
In a plea agreement with prosecutors, six of the eight charges were dismissed after he pled guilty to one count of possession of drugs and one count of having weapons under disability, both third-degree felonies. He was sentenced to three years on the possession of drugs charge and 18 months on the weapons charge for a total of 54 months in prison. He will get credit for 71 days he has already served in the county jail.
