NWS: More flash flooding probable in Southern Utah national parks

SPRINGDALE, Utah (KUTV) — The National Weather Service of Salt Lake City issued another warning related to flash flooding across Southern Utah. The forecast is calling for scattered thunderstorms for the second day in a row across Southern Utah, including Zion National Park. The park experienced over one inch of new rainfall on Tuesday which led to an intense afternoon of flash flooding. The park has since reopened to visitors in a modified sense, but officials are warning everyone that another flash flood day is probable on Wednesday. The NWS said slot canyons, slick rock areas and normally dry washes are the worst places to be during a thunderstorm.
