The Community Foundation s scholarship application deadline approaching

Each scholarship supports specific areas of interest to enhance the development of a diverse skillset in the leaders of tomorrow. –The San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation’s annual scholarship application deadline is Feb. 7 for high school seniors and college students. The scholarship program offers 35 different scholarships which will award over $250,000 to more than 60 students. A full list of available scholarships and applications can be found online at www.cfsloco.org/available-scholarships. These annual scholarships are made possible by generous donors of The Community Foundation. Each scholarship supports specific areas of interest to enhance the development of a diverse skillset in the leaders of tomorrow. Each year this program impacts students from all areas of the county supporting academic and professional aspirations.

She and her husband, Steve, raised four children north of town before moving into the village six years ago.A graduate of Spring Arbor University, with a bachelor degree in education and a masters in counseling, Searls was a teacher in Union City for 19 years before joining the Branch Intermediate School District

Coldwater, MI, USA / WTVB | 1590 AM · 95.5 FM | The Voice of Branch County Jan 19, 2021 7:34 AM COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Community Foundation would like to welcome Jennifer Searles as the newest addition to the Community Foundation Board of Directors.     A graduate of Spring Arbor University, with a bachelor degree in education and a masters in counseling, Searles was a teacher in Union City for 19 years before joining the Branch Intermediate School District as a Career Development Coordinator.     Her board experience includes the Union City Community School Board and the Michigan School Counselor Association. She has served on many sub-committees for the Michigan Department of Education through the Office of Career and Technical Education, and she currently serves on the Community Foundation’s Scholarship committee as well.
