Windrush Farm, on the North Andover/Boxford line, has opportunities available for volunteers who wish to spend time with horses, get outside and make a difference in the life of a child with special needs.
The nonprofit center for therapeutic riding and horse-related activities seeks more horse handlers due to increased demand for therapeutic riding lessons for children with emotional and cognitive challenges.

Pentucket Players returns to in-person productions with its presentation of “Mass Appeal” April 30 and May 1 and 2 at Haverhill City Hall auditorium.
“Mass Appeal,” a comedy-drama written by Bill C. Davis, is the first live, fully staged production since the pandemic hit. It is directed by John R. Buzzell of Haverhill, and features, veteran actor Les Tarmy in the role of Fr. Tim Farley and, in alternating performances, Ben Fuller and Jonathan Touchette as Mark Dolson, the brash young seminarian. In addition to live staging, the production will be available for streaming. While Massachusetts has entered Phase Four of its reopening plan, the audience is required to socially distance and wear masks.
