MANITOBA, Canada Toronto FC continued their hot hand in the transfer market Tuesday evening by announcing the signing of veteran marksman Dom Dwyer to a contract through 2022. Dwyer, 30, had been with the club on trial since the beginning of the season and now joins a Reds side in need of goals.
Bolstering the attack
The striker joins the club as a free agent, having left Orlando City at the end of his contract following an injury that ended his 2020 campaign after just two matches. A striker of some pedigree in MLS, Dwyer comes to TFC having notched 83 goals in his MLS career to date, including 24 goals in the 70 matches he spent in Orlando.

The Philadelphia Union made official their big signing with the announcement Tuesday morning of a two-year contract with two club options for Hungarian international attacker Daniel Gazdag.
The 25-year-old has scored 13 goals and notched six assists across 30 appearances this season.
“He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions in the midfield as well as at striker and has the ability to make an immediate impact,” Sporting Director Ernst Tanner said in the news release. “His aggressive style of play has made him a top finisher in the Hungarian league and a good fit for our system.”
Zambian club to sign Tsumake
Having blown the coaches away with her skill and determination during her trial, Sindy Tsumake is expected to be a Lusaka Dynamos player by the end of the week.
In an exclusive interview with Voice Sport on Wednesday, the Zambian club’s Secretary, Shalala Sepiso confirmed they will offer the 33-year-old midfielder a contract within the next couple of days.
Tsumake left for Zambia last Monday for a two-week trial with the Lusaka-based outfit, who play in Zambia’s top division, the Super League.
However, the technical team have been so impressed with the former Tonota Diamond Girls player they are desperate to secure her services before the trial ends.
