ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Governors in many states have called out the National Guard, declared states of emergency, and closed state capitol buildings over concerns about violence ahead of next week’s presidential inauguration.
Action News Now anchor Linda Watkins-Bennett talked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge of the Sacramento Field Office, Sean Ragan, to find out more about what is happening at the California State Capitol and in Northern California to be prepared for the days ahead.

The Sacramento County Sheriff s Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) were following up on evidence that led them to a location in Carmichael, where they found a car connected to their investigation. The detectives tried to make contact with the people in the car, but at some point during the encounter, shots were fired. JW s brother and one of the detectives were shot.
