The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three people connected to the death of a 7-month-girl. According to investigators, Lillith Luhm died on February 4th, after allegedly being exposed to fentanyl and methamphetamine. Her parents 38-year-old Shawn Luhm, and -year-old Kayla Luhm were arrested last Friday on suspicion of “willful cruelty to a child with possible injury or death.” The D.A’s Office has filed felony child abuse charges against the couple.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff s Office says it s seeing an increase in the number of ghost guns during searches.
The gun might look similar to any regular weapon, however, it s missing one major piece: the registration to make it legally owned.
You probably have heard of K-9 s trained for narcotics and search and rescue missions, but K-9 Zeke and his handler Deputy Shane Moore are trained in something different.
Zeke is the only K-9 in the tri-county area that can now sniff out weapons like ghost guns.
Detective Luca Benedetti remembered by colleagues

37-year-old Luca Benedetti called the San Luis Obispo Police Department his home for the past 9 years, putting his life on the line defending the community he loved.
Community members and colleagues with broken hearts reacted to his loss by presenting flowers and speaking about the presence he had as a detective and as a family man.
Acting Police Chief Brian Amoroso said, âDetective Benedetti was hired by SLO PD in 2012. Prior to that, he worked for four years as a police officer with the city of Atascadero. He is survived by his wife and his two young children.â
The investigation into Monday’s shooting that left an officer and suspect dead continues. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson said suspect Edward Giron was linked to at least one recent burglary and did not have any registered firearms. He also said witness accounts of an assault-style rifle being seen aligned with the ongoing investigation. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office will be answering calls for service while San Luis Obispo Police mourn their fallen comrade.
