On Jan. 24, 2019, Lawrence Albert Bross, 90, was found dead inside his home in the 1400 block of Strand Way. Sheriff s officials said an autopsy determined the cause of death to be multiple chop force traumatic injuries. At a press conference on Friday, Sheriff Ian Parkinson identified the suspect as David Krause, 41, of Grover Beach. Krause was reportedly already in custody at the San Luis Obispo County Jail on unrelated charges when he was arrested Thursday for Bross s murder.

Ornelas s body was discovered near the train tracks below the Turnpike Road overpass on June 21, 1975.

PISMO BEACH, Calif. - A body was pulled from the waters off of Pismo Beach Wednesday. California State Parks officials said the body was discovered around 3:30 a.m. near the Grand Avenue ramp. Sheriff s deputies responded and assisted with the recovery. The body was eventually recovered from the water by 5:30 a.m. and the scene was cleared The coroner s office is investigating the body, but a spokesman for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff s Office said the death does not appear to be suspicious. The identification of this person has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Driver loses control of vehicle, crashes into house

A deputy from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office was traveling northbound on El Camino Real from Santa Margarita when a white Dodge Durango Durango traveling in the opposite direction crossed into his lane. The deputy made a U-turn in order to catch up to the vehicle. The driver continued into Santa Margarita in the opposing lane and was unable to negotiate the curve at Highway 58 safely. The driver made an unsafe turning movement, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle skidded across both lanes of Highway 58 and collided with a wood picket fence.
