HACKENSACK, Minn. A Hackensack, Minn., man died at 5:52 p.m., Friday, May 7, after his truck crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle on Highway 210 in Cass County.
According to Minnesota State Patrol reports, Scott William Voudren, 48, of Hackensack was operating a 1997 GMC Sierra traveling south on Highway 371 late Friday afternoon when it crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2020 Honda CRV operated by Diane Marie Illies, 60, of Solway, Minn. The crash occurred at Woodland Drive in Birch Lake Township.
Voudren suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Illies was taken from the scene to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Conditions were dry and both drivers were wearing seat belts.

2 men from Hackensack killed in separate crashes in outstate Minnesota

Two men from Hackensack in north-central Minnesota were killed in separate crashes Friday near Austin and Hackensack.
Lemoyne L. Kraushaar, 87, died after his minivan hit a tree off Interstate 90 near Austin, Minn., just before noon Friday.
Kraushaar was westbound on I-90 near W. Oakland Av. at 11:56 a.m. when his vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, the Minnesota State Patrol said. He was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin. He was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not involved, the patrol said.

Alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle rollover that injured three people Friday, April 23 in Hart Lake Township.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:03 a.m. a witness reported seeing three people crawl out of a badly damaged vehicle that had rolled in a swamp.
Deputies arrived at the intersection of County Roads 45 and 39 to find three injured people standing on the roadway. North Memorial and Cass Lake ambulances arrived on scene and provided medical help to the victims.
