Mar 17, 2021 DUNKIRK An incident that led to the stabbings of two individuals in the area of Park Avenue in the city of Dunkirk is still an ongoing investigation, but there is a suspect. “The individual that we identified as the defendant has been charged in the city of Dunkirk with first-degree assault and was picked up in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” county District Attorney Jason Schmidt told the OBSERVER Wednesday. “We are now handling extradition proceedings to bring that individual back to New York.” Last Thursday evening two helicopters were summoned to the city of Dunkirk after first responders were alerted to two victims found within minutes with reported stab wounds.
