CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriffâs Office says it discontinued its search for a man who ran away during a pursuit Wednesday morning.
The search followed a vehicle pursuit in West Ashley around Savannah Highway near the Oak Forest Neighborhood, Capt. Roger Antonio said. He said the pursuit began just before 9 a.m. on Savannah Highway near Dobbin Road when authorities attempted to pull over an apparent reckless driver.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriffâs Office is investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday night.
Shortly after 8 p.m., deputies responded to the 4300 block of Walton Street, Capt. Roger Antonio said.
The victim said two men approached him and pointed a firearm at him, while the other man took his wallet from his pocket.
The two men then ran from the scene, Antonio said.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in connection with a fatal shooting incident on Elmtree Road.
Christopher Lovell was taken into custody by members of the US Task Force.
Officials say Lovell shot 34-year-old Avery Clinton McQueen on December 17 after an argument. McQueen later died from his injuries.
The Charleston Police Department and the Charleston County Sheriffâs Office assisted CPD with the investigation.
