Dale Frampton, of Ryleaze, Potterne, was also banned from driving for five years, after being found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving a vehicle dangerously and driving while disqualified and without third party insurance. Heard at Salisbury Magistrates Court last week, on January 8 last year police officers responded to a black Ford Focus swerving on the A36 Southampton Road, heading towards Salisbury city centre, with sparks coming from one of the wheels.

Daniel Palmer, 28, was jailed for 18 months in 2015 for causing death by careless driving. He was behind the wheel of a red Citroen Saxo that crashed in Melksham a year before, killing 19-year-old passenger Max Lewis. At Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Palmer was fined £180 and given six points after he admitted driving carelessly in Chippenham last March.
