A Saskatoon repair company has been fined more than $90,000 in relation to a fatal 2018 workplace incident.
On July 31, 2018, an employee was injured as he was fixing a strap on a truck box s hydraulic cylinder at Basic Truck & Trailer Repair on Apex St.
The strap broke, causing the truck box to fall onto the man.
The 61-year-old died in hospital.
Basic Truck & Trailer Repair was charged with three counts of violating the province s occupational health and safety legislation in connection with the incident.
