FARGO A fire at a south Fargo apartment complex that caused $365,000 in damage earlier this month started from improperly discarded cigarettes, according to city fire officials.
Fire crews responded the afternoon of June 14 to a report of a fire at the Cedar Pointe Apartments, 3325 17th Ave. S., near the Prairiewood Golf Course.
The fire started on the first-floor patio of the building, according to Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson. There were no reported injuries.

Sadly, the baby girl delivered by Caesarean section after her mother was critically shot on the night of April 28th died today. Her mother, Laquisha Terrell, 23, died Tuesday from complications of gunshot wounds to her chest, abdomen and legs.

Terrell s ex-boyfriend, Brian T. Mitchell, 23, is jailed on one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. The attempted murder charge in relation to the child will be upgraded.
Terrell s boyfriend, Michael Stewart, 28, was wounded during the gunfire at Cedar Pointe Apartments in Antioch. He is now recovering at home.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A baby girl has died two weeks after being delivered in an emergency C-section after her mother was critically injured in a shooting, according to Metro Nashville Police officials.

Mitchell was charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Police say the attempted murder charge for the child will be upgraded.
Stewart is recovering at home.

A pregnant woman shot at an Antioch apartment complex by her ex-boyfriend last month has died, Metro Police said Tuesday.
He is now charged with Terrell’s murder and the attempted murders of the baby and boyfriend.
“He took my firstborn from me. I can’t get her back,” Toya Terrell, Laquisha Terrell’s mother said.
The shooting happened at the Cedar Pointe Apartments in Antioch. At the time, Laquisha was six to seven months pregnant with her second child.
