The main focus at the May 11 Chippewa Valley Coalition for Youth and Families meeting was honoring graduating coalition teen council members. This year, there are 15 coalition graduates from Dakota High School in Macomb Township and five coalition members from Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township. Overall, the district has nearly 100 youth coalition members. Charlene McGunn, the coalition’s executive director, said at the meeting’s onset that the plan was to honor “our graduating coalition teen council members and acknowledging the many activities that have been conducted this school year.”
