When it comes to Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Preener), I am stealing my colleague Kurt Schlichter’s #caring hashtag. Kinzinger is the Millennials’ Mitt Romney a total gadfly. I personally have not even cared enough to draft a story about him until now, so I’ll be pulling in my colleagues who have covered him more extensively.
What is very clear is that Kinzinger is on a mission: for more attention and face time on CNN and MSNBC. Kinzinger is now claiming that he warned Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that violence would be assured on January 6 if the rhetoric and actions of the GOP leadership did not change; alas, martyr that he wants to be, he was ignored, and Here. We. Are.

The rot within U.S. House Republican leadership is obvious.
The rot is evident in Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s jihad to jettison House Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney in favor of an unaccomplished liberal Republican, while at the same time refusing to snub radical Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and the scandal-ridden Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida. He does this all because Cheney refuses to back down from saying the same thing about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot that McCarthy himself originally said before he decided to go back to kissing former President Donald Trump’s ring.
GOP Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson Defends Liz Cheney, Says Trump s Dividing Our Party
On 5/11/21 at 5:30 PM EDT
Republican Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson on Tuesday defended Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and warned the party against allowing former President Donald Trump to divide the GOP.
In an interview with CNN, Hutchinson backed Cheney ahead of the vote expected to occur on Wednesday that could lead to her ousting from her leadership role.
Cheney shouldn t be ousted for a vote of confidence, he said. I believe that we need to concentrate on more things that bring us together than to separate us, and going down and seeing former President Trump, to me, causes more division than anything else.
