Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that completion of the western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will usher in a new era of development and prosperity in Pakistan.
The CPEC western route will accelerate the socio-economic development in some of the Asian country s underdeveloped regions, including Balochistan province and tribal areas, Khan said at a ground-breaking ceremony for several development projects in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan.
He said Pakistan is lucky to be a part of China s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) through CPEC, and the western route will turn the dream of prosperity into reality for the local people.

QUETTA: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday lamented the “elite capture” in the country that according to him enabled Pakistan’s past rulers to buy properties in London’s priciest areas that are beyond the reach of even the British Prime Minister.
“Our rulers bought properties in the richest areas of London properties in areas of London where even the British Prime Minister cannot purchase,” Khan said in a speech during a ceremony in Quetta, where he said “God gives honour and success to anyone who does something for God’s creatures”.
He said caring for humanity was the element that placed nations at the “high pedestal of morality”. He regretted that had serious steps been taken in past, the country would have undergone immense development.

Islamabad : Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed has said that the Western Route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was undertaken from Balochistan by the present government and this dream of prosperity has been turned into reality.
The Western Route of the CPEC will also be completed during the present regime. He was expressing views on occasion of Ground Breaking of dualization of Quetta Western bypass, construction of Dera Murad Jamali pypass and Ziarat Mor-Kach-Harnai-Sanjavi road projects of National Highway Authority, Ministry of Communications, on Wednesday, says a press release.

QUETTA/ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said our former rulers purchased properties in such areas in London where even a British prime minister can’t buy property.
The premier said the government was focused on bringing a revolution of prosperity in Balochistan through projects of infrastructure and human development.
Addressing here at the groundbreaking of three roads under the National Highway Authority (NHA), the prime minister said Balochistan had been long neglected in the past and the government would take every step to minimise the suffering of locals.
