One person has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash at Elaman Creek on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Maleny-Kenilworth Rd and Upper Cedar Creek Rd at 8.40am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said four people were assessed on scene with only one requiring transport to hospital.
“The patient was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition,” she said.

The positive news, the good news about this individual, is that they were in hotel quarantine at the time they were tested and they have since been transferred to a hospital. Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said the strain was thought to be more contagious and had been picked up during genome sequencing of the virus carried by the woman. Young said she had no concerns after authorities doubled-back to check their interactions and transfers of the woman for any gaps.

UPDATE 4.45pm A woman in her 20s that was entrapped in the wreckage of her vehicle after the crash has been flown to the Brisbane Women s Hospital. She reportedly suffered face, arm, back and abdominal injuries however the exact nature of her injuries are unknown. A man in his 40s from the other vehicle was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. The Bruce Highway had been closed in both directions for hours after the crash but motorists have reported both lanes are now open. Traffic is moving slowly and is likely to take a while to free up.
