Subscriber only A driver who police allege was driving dangerously when he crashed on the way to a high school formal has told a court he will plead not guilty. Glenview man Wisam El Haouli was charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle after the November 18 crash at Moffat Beach. The car crashed into Moffat Beach Brewing Co and two customers, a man in his 50s and his wife, were taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment. The driver charged over a formal car crash in Moffat Beach intends to plead not guilty. The two passengers, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, were not physically injured in the crash.
Kirsty Spry, 40, had spent much of her life in Maryborough. But the Chronicle confirmed she had later died as a result of her injuries. Tributes were flowing on social media on Wednesday night for the Biggenden woman, who had spent much of her life in Maryborough. Kathryn Thomson said she was thinking of Ms Spry s family and friends.
