Washington s decision to put teachers and the elderly at the front of the vaccine line has led some to question why these predominantly White groups were prioritized over grocery, transit and other frontline workers who don’t have the option of working from home and are more likely to be from disproportionately impacted communities of color. Grocery workers became eligible this week, along with critical workers in agriculture, corrections, transit, food processing and other select congregate settings.

Albany, N.Y. State legislators are nearing a deal to legalize recreational marijuana use for adult New Yorkers, but there’s currently an “impasse” on how to to deal with impaired driving and traffic stops by police, said Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
“It is a matter of when, not if. We are extremely close; we have continued to have negotiations and really have ironed out a lot of what we think would be important in terms of making sure that we do this right,” Stewart-Cousins said Tuesday during a news conference. “We have reached a little bit of an impasse right now, and it has to do with impaired driving there.”
Find out the facts, and we will take it from there, he said.
Biden also said if Cuomo is found guilty, I think he ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.
President Joe Biden said in an exclusive interview with ABC News George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo should resign if an investigation confirms claims he committed sexual harassment. If you committed a crime, you can be prosecuted, that s true, but what President Biden said was, we should do an investigation, Cuomo said. The question to President Biden starts with, Do you think the governor should resign or do you think should there a review first? And the president said, There should be a review.

The impeachment investigation into the numerous scandals facing Governor Andrew Cuomo is progressing, but some might argue not very quickly.
Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said it is important that this investigation continue without time constraints.
“I do think it should be done expeditiously,” Speaker Heastie said. “But to say you have to come back with a decision in a week, or two weeks, or a month, would be unfair to the process of an investigation. I don t have an answer as to how long.
State Republican Party Chair Nick Langworthy criticized Democratic lawmakers, saying that they are trying to drag out the impeachment process in order to give majority leaders leverage during budget negotiations.
