PANAMA CITY BEACH Bay County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested a local married couple for allegedly having sex with a juvenile.
According to a sheriff’s office press release, Beth and Michael Ostrowski, a married couple in their 50s, were charged with unlawful sex with a minor and traveling to meet a minor for sex. The two were arrested Tuesday without incident at their home at 17462 Front Beach Road at Horizon South, Panama City Beach.
The press release states that on Monday evening, the sheriff’s office responded to a report of sexual assault involving a teenaged victim. The investigation revealed the Ostrowskis had initially made contact with their victim through the internet, which later led to phone messages, the press release states.

PANAMA CITY BEACH Gulf World Marine Institute received a batch of juvenile green sea turtles on Monday from the Volusia County Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet and the Sea Turtle Hospital at the Whitney Lab in St. Augustine after they were rescued.
According to a news release from Gulf World, Florida Fish and Wildlife officials reached out to them in hopes of finding available rehabilitation space after a recent spike in stranding activities in Northeast Florida. Gulf World was able to accommodate 16 juvenile greens.
Most of the turtles are receiving antibiotics and fluid medical treatment because many of them have heavy loads of barnacles, algae and other life forms living on their bodies, the release said.

LYNN HAVEN An inmate who escaped in Bay County four days ago was captured Wednesday afternoon.
Michael A. Pizzuto, 31, was caught in the 3200 block of Country Club Drive in Lynn Haven, a Panama City Police Department press release states. Also, Lauren Luton and Anthony Ricks were arrested and charged with aiding an escaped prisoner.
Pizzuto escaped after he cut his electronic monitor and fled from the Department of Corrections Community Release Center on Highway 390 early Saturday morning. The Panama City Police Department, along with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the Lynn Haven Police Department began searching for Pizzuto immediately.
