Tribute: Flowers and touching messages have been placed outside the Harewood Surgery in Harwich Road, Great Oakley VILLAGERS have laid flowers and paid their respects to a “lovely lady” who tragically died following a fatal collision. Police officers and paramedics were called to Harwich Road, in Great Oakley, on Saturday afternoon after a car was involved in a collision with a woman in her 70s. Despite their best efforts the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Bouquets of flowers and touching messages have since appeared outside the Harewood Surgery, where it is understood her son works as a doctor.

Woman charged with extensive list of offences following fatal crash A YOUNG woman has been charged with a list of driving offences following a fatal crash in which a pensioner died. Essex Police were called to Harwich Road, in Great Oakley, shortly before 3.15pm on Saturday after a car was involved in a collision with a woman in her 70s. Despite the best efforts of the officers and paramedics who attended the incident the elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 20-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving as well as several traffic-related matters.

A woman in her 70s died at the scene of the crash in Harwich Road, Great Oakley.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian in her 70s was killed in a Great Oakley crash.
Police and paramedics attended but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hivda Altuntop, 20, of High Street, Harwich, was arrested and has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
She has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop following a collision, failing to report a collision, driving with eyesight which did not comply with requirements, driving while uninsured, possession of a knife and possession of a controlled Class B drug.
