Bend-area man arrested on assault, other charges after SWAT Team call-out BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – A man who reportedly assaulted and pointed a gun at another man at a home between Bend and Sisters early Wednesday morning was arrested by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, deputies said. Deputies were dispatched around 1:20 a.m. to the reported assault at a home in the 67000 block of Harrington Loop, Lt. William Bailey said. Responding deputies learned a 49-year-old Bend-area man had assaulted another man at the home, and reportedly had pointed a gun at him, Bailey said. The two men live on the same property but not in the same home.

Reports of violence and aggression at homeless camp in Sisters Published Attempted arson, battery, and alleged threats to kill plague camp residents SISTERS, Ore., (KTVZ) Several residents are alleging aggressive behavior at a homeless camp near Sisters. Community members began posting their experiences on a community watch Facebook page. A pregnant woman told NewsChannel 21 her family moved out of the area immediately after their camp was almost lit on fire. Another woman said her father, who lives at the camp, was threatened to be killed with a knife. A man posted he was chased while riding on his horse. He was beaten and threatened to be killed and says the attacker tried to break his horse s legs.

Arrest made in Lone Pine homicide Prineville man shot and Redmond man arrested in connection with Lone Pine incident A Redmond man was arrested Monday in connection with the death of a Prineville man in Lone Pine. On the morning of Sunday, April 18, a Jefferson County Sheriff s Deputy responded to a report of a deceased person on Lone Pine Road in Jefferson County, Jefferson County District Attorney Steve Leriche reported. At this location, the deputy observed a deceased person identified as Edgar Morales, age 30, who was located next to his white Ford truck. Morales, from Prineville, appears to have died from a gunshot wound.

Hiker Rescued Off Misery Ridge A hiker was rescued off Misery Ridge Trail at Smith Rock State Park Sunday afternoon. According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Raili Marks, 36, from Seattle, had injured herself while hiking on Misery Ridge.  It was reported that she was near the overlook and could not walk without assistance.  Ten Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue volunteers, along with one Deputy, and members of the Redmond Fire Department responded to the scene. Redmond Fire Department medics arrived on scene, hiked up to the patient and began to provide medical care while SAR volunteers responded to assist with extrication  SAR volunteers hiked up to Marks location where she was loaded into the wheeled litter and transported down the Misery Ridge Trail to a waiting ambulance.  Marks was transported by ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond for further medical treatment.
