Russia registers 9,252 new cases of Covid-19, 404 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 9,252 new cases of Covid-19 and 404 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday. Over the past day, 9,252 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in 83 regions of Russia, including 1,176 asymptomatic cases identified proactively (12.7%), the headquarters said. In the past 24 hours, 9,385 patients were discharged from hospitals upon recovery, and 404 patients died from Covid-19 across Russia. According to the headquarters, Moscow reported 3,274 new cases of Covid-19, as well as 56 deaths and 2,998 recoveries on Friday. Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Russia on March 2, 2020, it has registered a total of 5,044,459 cases of Covid-19, including 120,406 deaths and 4,661,234 recoveries.
