Retired Mountainside NJ police officer charged again with DWI

Everett Holt said that around 8:46 p.m. Feb. 8, 2021, Raritan Borough police were dispatched to the area of The Liquor Barn, 1007 Old York Road near Woodmere Street on a report of a possible intoxicated driver in a Toyota Rav4. Holt said the caller continued to provide information to police dispatch at they followed the vehicle. Police were notified the Toyota was pulling into the parking lot at the QuickChek on West Somerset Street. As the vehicle pulled into the lot it ran up over the curb, police said.   

Route 202 NJ road rage incident with rifles leads to three arrests

MyCentralJersey.com READINGTON – Three men are facing charges after allegedly brandishing an assault weapon during a road rage incident Sunday afternoon on Route 202. Robert Figueroa, 19, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, Axel Rafael Colon Merly, 18, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Miguel Angel Otero Journet, 19, of Bear, Delaware, have been charged with second-degree unlawful possession of an assault firearm in Somerset County, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office announced. In Hunterdon County, the trio is facing charges of second-degree possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, third-degree terroristic threats and fourth-degree possession of a high-capacity magazine, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said. The three men are lodged at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
