Reconciliation finds an additional 11 COVID-19 deaths in county The review added 11 deaths, bringing the county s total to 121. In addition, one death was removed from the total after it was verified the person was not a Muskingum County resident. Kaili Shaffer, an epidemiologist with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department, explained the process during the department s Facebook Live event on Tuesday. The department reviewed all the deaths that had been reported.  We made sure all the information on the death certificates was correct, with our system as well, Shaffer said.  Some of the additional deaths were from jurisdictional issues, including people who had an out-of-county permanent address but died at a long-term care facility in Muskingum County. Those deaths have now been added to Muskingum County total.
