Instead, they have an album of music that will remind them of one of their favorite places every time they perform. “We had a cabin on the Illinois River in Pike County,” Jeff Davidsmeyer said. “We would go there a lot in the spring, summer and fall. I started writing songs about that area and ‘cabin life’ and put this collection of songs together.” Jeff Davidsmeyer has long been a musician, performing solo or as part of a band for years. And this isn’t his first recording release. There were “two cassette tapes back in the ’90s” and a mid-’90s CD as part of the band New Goat Revival, he said. He also recorded a solo album in 2014.
