High school senior was killed by ‘crushing blow’ to the head, Tarrant County authorities say

A Benbrook Middle-High School senior has died after being found with a severe head injury in Tarrant County, and authorities say his death was a homicide.
Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies were called about 3:15 a.m. Monday to the 5100 block of Ben Day Murrin Road, in an unincorporated area near U.S. Highway 377 and Crowley Plover Road, where a disturbance had been reported.
Authorities found an injured 18-year-old and took him to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he died Tuesday morning. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as Leo Pantalion.
