New Initiative Aims To Encourage College Graduates To Start Careers In Tulsa
The Tulsa Regional Chamber, the City of Tulsa and the George Kaiser Family Foundation have launched Campus Tulsa, a new initiative designed to encourage college graduates to start their careers in Tulsa.
The initiative was created in response to the state s growing need for adults with bachelor s degrees and is designed with both students and employees in mind.
It will work to increase paid internship opportunities through employee partnerships.

Bynum said Wednesday that while Tulsa Police Department staffing is not being targeted for an increase this year, he plans to pursue adding more than 100 patrol officers as part of next year s budget proposal. When I came in as mayor, we had about 730 officers. Today, we are at about 840, a little over that. But the independent recommendation to us is that we need to be at 950.
