CTD Police kills one, arrests five terrorists
A large cache of weapons recovered, suspects were planning terror attacks in Sindh, say, officials
The Counter-Terrorism Department Police killed a terrorist and arrested five others in an intelligence-based operation in Shah Latif Town on Monday, according to the police.
The authorities claim that the apprehended suspects are affiliated with India’s Research and Analysis Wing and had planned targeted terror activity in Sindh.
Early on Monday morning, the CTD officials, headed by CTD Deputy Inspector General Omar Shahid, encircled a double-story house in Shah Latif Town, Sector A/21, and a shootout ensued between the suspects and the law enforcement agencies.
Two brothers shot dead near FTC Building

Two brothers were gunned down in an apparent incident of target killing near the FTC Building on Monday.
The brothers, identified as 50-year-old Syed Sabir Hussain Shah and 48-year-old Syed Abid Hussain Shah, were travelling on a motorcycle when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on them near the Kalapul traffic signal.
Following the firing, ambulances from a welfare organisation reached the scene and transported the casualties to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. According to police, both the men died on the spot. District South SSP Zubair Sheikh told the media that the victims were brothers and were shot when they were returning home after appearing before a court.
Robbers barge into estate agency office, kill property dealer for offering resistance

A property dealer was shot dead in Surjani Town while three others were wounded during separate mugging incidents in parts of the city on Saturday.
According to police, unidentified robbers barged into the office of a estate agency, Salman Corner and Builder Estate, located in Sector 7A within the jurisdiction of Surjani Town police station and held the people there hostage at gunpoint.
They snatched cash, mobile phones and other valuables from them. As one of the hostages put up resistance, the robbers shot him, causing serious injuries.
Four die in traffic accidents
Karachi
Four people died in separate road traffic accidents in parts of the city on Saturday.
Two youths were killed and another wounded during a collision between two trailer trucks on Kathore Mor within the limits of the Gadap City police station.
Police said the casualties were shifted to a hospital where the deceased persons were identified as 18-year-old Waheed and 22-year-old Sajjad Khan and the injured person as Shami. The victims included a driver and cleaners and the accident took place when another speedy trailer hit their trailer from the backside. Police said the injured personâs condition was also critical. A case has been registered.
