PINSON The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is working to notify the family of a man killed in a crash in unincorporated east Jefferson County on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021.
The man was the driver of a truck that left the roadway in the 6600 block of Bud Holmes Road, around 3:55 p.m. The truck came to a rest in a ditch alongside the road.
The driver was taken to St. Vincent’s East Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m. Coroner Bill Yates said the man is from Odenville.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

BIRMINGHAM The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a woman struck and killed by a vehicle in Birmingham.
Felicia Renee Richardson, 61, of Birmingham, was hit at 6:45 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, while attempting to cross 1st Avenue North, from 68th Street, according to Coroner Bill Yates. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
“The driver of the motor vehicle stopped and reported the incident to the authorities,” Yates said.
The Birmingham Police Department is investigating.
61-year-old woman ID’d as pedestrian hit and killed on Birmingham street

Authorities have released the name of a woman killed last week while she was trying to cross a Birmingham street.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the woman as Felicia Renee Richardson. She was 61 and lived in Birmingham.
The crash happened at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 68th Street and First Avenue North. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:45 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and called 911.

The Midfield Fire Department responded at 4:45 a.m. to the 1400 block of 12th Street, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. Tiffany Trenise Sara Adams, 34, was found unresponsive and pronounced dead on the scene at 5:04 a.m.
