Odenville man dies after single-vehicle crash in east Jefferson County

From The Tribune staff reports PINSON The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is working to notify the family of a man killed in a crash in unincorporated east Jefferson County on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021. The man was the driver of a truck that left the roadway in the 6600 block of Bud Holmes Road, around 3:55 p.m. The truck came to a rest in a ditch alongside the road. The driver was taken to St. Vincent’s East Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:06 p.m. Coroner Bill Yates said the man is from Odenville. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Felicia Renee Richardson, 61, of Birmingham, was hit at 6:45 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, while attempting to cross 1st Avenue North, from 68th Street, according to Coroner Bill Yates. She was pronounced dead on the scene. “The driver of the motor vehicle stopped and reported the incident to the authorities,” Yates said. The Birmingham Police Department is investigating.
