UPDATE: 22-year-old man dies after overnight shooting in Jeffersontown

Madin Ege Ali died at University Hospital at 6:23 a.m. from a gunshot wound.  According to Jeffersontown Police Assistant Chief Lt. Col. Steve Schmidt, officers responded just after midnight to the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Louisville Hotel & Conference Center at 1760 Plantside Drive on reports of a shooting. The building doesn t appear to be currently in use as a hotel.  That s where police found Ali, inside a vehicle near Hurstbourne Pkwy., with a gunshot wound. He was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.  No arrests have been announced, and police aren t sure what led to the shooting.  Copyright 2020. WDRB News. All rights reserved.

The discovery was made about 5:20 p.m. Monday in a densely wooded area near the intersection of Seventh Avenue South and Exeter Avenue, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. A man surveying the land call police after finding a human skull. On Tuesday morning, a recovery team from the coroner’s office returned to the area to carry out a complete search of the area but were unable to find any additional remains. Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. It appears the death happened years ago, he said.

(WBRC) - Birmingham police are investigating what led to a human skull being discovered in the Oak Ridge Park neighborhood. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has not determined the identity yet but says the skull was found on December 21 in a densely wooded area near the intersection of 7th Avenue South and Exeter Avenue South. A recovery team returned to the area on Tuesday and searched the area but did not locate any additional remains.

(AL.com) Facebook Share The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Janice Denise White. She was 61. The crash happened at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Micklewright Road and Gadsden Highway. Jefferson County sheriff’s Sgt. Joni Money said witnesses told deputies a Chevrolet Blazer crossed over the center line and struck two other vehicles, including White’s Kia Spectra. White was transported to St. Vincent’s East but was pronounced dead at 5:48 p.m. The driver of the Blazer was taken to UAB Hospital with unknown injuries.
