Friday night shooting in Jefferson Parish leaves one woman dead

Updated: 11:49 PM CDT May 21, 2021 JEFFERSON, La. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff s Office is investigating a shooting that left a woman dead Friday. According to a release from JPSO, deputies responded to the 3400 block of Mole Cottage St. after reports of gunshots in the area just after 7 p.m. Deputies said when they arrived they found a woman with several gunshot injuries. She was pronounced dead on the scene. There is no further information available at the moment and a suspect or motive is not known as of now. Louisiana man wanted for Friday murder, possibly going to Houston

A Metairie man wanted for shooting and killing a woman in Jefferson Friday night has fled the area and is possibly headed to Texas, sheriff deputies said. Larry Richardson Jr, 40, is wanted for shooting and killing the woman before he went into hiding, a spokesperson with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff s Office said in a Saturday release. JPSO Public Affairs Division Commander Capt. Jason Rivarde said investigators are looking for Richardson, describing him as 5 feet and 10 inches tall and about 160 pounds. Richardson was last seen driving a silver 2020 Toyota Camry with a Louisiana license plate:275DJG.

A Louisiana man had a chunk of his nose bitten off by a man he bought a drink for, authorities said. Bryan Thayer, 34, told nola.com that he finished a shift at the Metairie bar he owns and stopped by another bar just before 5 a.m. on May 8. He and a friend bought a drink for a man later identified as Andrew Nierman, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. The drink spilled on Nierman, but Thayer told the news outlet that he and his friend bought him another. He said the 32-year-old Neirman walked away but came back a few moments later and threatened Thayer.
