Pursuit of Washington fugitives leads to Rogue River Highway standoff
The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said that two armed robbery suspects were tracked to a house near Grants Pass, leading to the major police presence on Tuesday.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. The sizable police presence on Rogue River Highway in Grants Pass on Tuesday evening arose from the attempt to apprehend two fugitives out of Washington state who barricaded themselves inside a home with a young child, according to the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety.
Police in Grants Pass were contacted on Tuesday afternoon by agents from the U.S. Marshals Service and Homeland Security Investigations, who were seeking two fugitives believed to be heading from Washington state to Grants Pass.
CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. A man is being charged with 1st-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon, following a shooting at a concert in Cave Junction last night.
The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested 27-year-old Trenton Cole Kepple in connection with the homicide.
Police say the incident happened around midnight at a concert in the 1300 block of Rockydale Road.
The sheriff’s office says upon arrival, a deceased person was found.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
Oregon State Police Detectives are working with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office on the investigation.

CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. Oregon State Police says that troopers have arrested a suspect following a fatal shooting during a concert in Cave Junction around midnight.
Around around 12:01 a.m. Sunday, deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting incident in the 1300-block of Rockydale Road in Cave Junction. Information reported to Deputies was that a person had been shot at a concert. Upon arrival, deputies found one person dead at the concert.
