RDA lauded for record revenue generation

Rawalpindi : Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has commended efforts of the officers concerned, made to generate record revenue during the financial year 2020-21.
The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate, RDA managed to generate record revenue of Rs498.6 million against the target of Rs260 million set for the FY 2020-21.
On excellent performance, the DG has commended the officers concerned of RDA including Jamshaid Aftab, Director MP&TE, Samiullah Khan Niazi, Deputy Director Planning and Atif Mehmood Chaudhry, Deputy Director Building Control.
RDA issues notice to owner of illegal housing scheme

Rawalpindi : Under the direction of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA taking strict action against illegal housing schemes. MP&TE Directorate issued notice to the owner of illegal housing scheme namely Blue World City, Chakri Road Rawalpindi to stop illegal advertisements, ceremony, and development work.
The Director MP&TE RDA has directed the owners of above mentioned illegal housing scheme to immediately stop illegal print/electronic advertisements. He said it has come to know that you have organized an inauguration ceremony of Overseas Block at illegal scheme site and invited renowned cricketer, Shahid Khan Afridi, as chief guest to grab the attention of general public.

MP&TE Directorate issued notice to the owner of illegal housing scheme namely Blue World City, Chakri Road Rawalpindi to stop illegal advertisements, ceremony, and development work. The Director MP&TE RDA has directed the owners of above mentioned illegal housing scheme to immediately stop illegal print/electronic advertisements. He said RDA has already taken legal action and registered multiple FIRs in the concerned police station.
Governing body approves budgets of RDA, WASA

Rawalpindi: The 55th Governing Body of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Saturday approved the annual budget 2021-22 of RDA amounting to Rs2,329.005 million.
A meeting of the Governing Body held here today was chaired by RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza.
The RDA Director General presented the annual budget of RDA in the meeting.
DG Rawalpindi Development Authority informed the meeting that the authority succeeded to generate revenue amounting to Rs559 million, Rs264 million more than the target of Rs295 million fixed for fiscal year 2020-21.The meeting was informed that the RDA succeeded to generate record revenue as all out efforts were made on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and the authorities concerned of RDA worked hard as per the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision and implemented a policy to promote the construction activities in the district.

Rawalpindi : Under the direction of the Director General (DG) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Land Use and Building Control Wing (LU&BC) Wing RDA taking strict action against illegal constructed buildings.
LU&BC Wing conducted operation against illegal land use and demolished illegally constructed shed at Jinnah Road (City Saddar Road), Mohanpura, says a press release.
LU&BC Wing’s staff including Building superintendent, Building inspectors and others carried out the operation with the assistance of police from the concerned police station and demolished above mentioned illegal commercial building.
The LU&BC Wing incharge Jamshaid Aftab said this construction was done in violation of Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations, 2020. He said notices and challans have been issued to the owners of illegal constructed buildings.
