Hell is coming — Abuser searched Fife for ex-partner with Darth Vader mask, rope and tools in boot

© Supplied by Central Scotland New Kevin Spratley A man travelled round Fife with a rope, hammer, pliers, and Darth Vader mask in the boot of a car, saying he wanted to use them to harm his ex-partner. Kevin Spratley, 48, and two others drove round the kingdom searching for the woman and her new partner and any other associates they could track down. Spratley told the car driver he had put together the kit to do the pair “some serious damage”. They were caught when officers investigating the theft of a car pulled over their vehicle in Glenrothes. He was already under a court order not to contact the woman in any way, having previously bombarded her with texts and emails, got her sacked from her job at a Chinese takeaway, made chilling threats of violence and repeatedly turned up at her home uninvited.

Dunfermline street incident: Blootered man woke up baby and became abusive to mum

Heavily-intoxicated David Sutherland became abusive to the woman and started throwing Jaffa Cakes at her. Sutherland, 49, of Urquhart Crescent, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. He admitted that on January 11, at Broomhead Drive, he shouted and swore towards a female, threw food items towards her and then acted in an aggressive manner, threatening police officers with violence. Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the woman heard someone whistling loudly outside. She was trying to get her one-year-old child to sleep and asked Sutherland to keep the noise down. “Who are you talking to?” he responded. The depute went on: “She had previous incidents of people shouting outside her flat and told him she was going to call the police.”
