Jamie O’Donnell, 27, of McDonald Crescent, Clydebank, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Friday having previously pleaded guilty to two matters last year. On August 20, 2019, at a property in Regent Place, Clydebank, and in a police van O’Donnell - then a resident of Alexander Street, Dumbarton - shouted, swore and uttered threats. He was on bail from just weeks earlier. Then on May 30 last year, at a property in Glen Avenue, Balloch, and en route to Clydebank police office, did repeatedly spit on the head of his mother, repeatedly shout and swear at her, shout and swear at two police offices and threaten to harm them, uttering abuse and obscenities against their family.

Man charged over Helensburgh pier death

BBC News Published A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute. The 25-year-old woman was pulled from the water off Helensburgh pier on Friday evening and was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services were alerted at about 17:15 after reports of a woman in difficulty in the water. Police Scotland said the man was due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday. Douglas Barrie/PA Wire/PA Images A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman by Helensburgh Pier on Friday.  The 28-year-old is due to appear in court on Monday.  Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5pm on April 23 to reports of a person in the water.  The body of a 25-year-old woman has sadly recovered shortly after.  A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a 25-year old woman in Helensburgh, on Friday 23 April 2021. He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday 26 April 2021.
