George Hagen previously pleaded guilty to the attack on April 16, 2019 in Shandon Crescent, Alexandria, where he seized hold of the woman by her neck to her injury. The offence was aggravated by being against a partner. Hagen, 52, of Glen Avenue, Alexandria, appeared from custody at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on February 19 for sentencing. The court had previously deferred sentence for him to be of good behaviour, but was told he had recently been jailed at Glasgow Sheriff Court for breaching a non-harassment order, including leaving voicemails and sending letters.

A third man has been charged following the death of a man in Clydebank in December.
Two men were found seriously injured by officers at a property in Perth Crescent, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, at around 12.05am on December 21.
Both were taken to hospital, but 25-year-old Billy McGuire was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police said that a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

A third man has been charged over the death of a man in West Dunbartonshire four days before Christmas.
Billy McGuire, 25, and a second man were found with serious injuries at a house in Perth Crescent, Clydebank.

A 26-year-old man is due to appear before Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
