Police charge a 25-year-old man with murder after arresting two 18-year-old men in connection to a Townsville crash that killed a motorcyclist. It comes as Queensland police announce a special taskforce to clamp down on repeat youth offenders.

The 25-year-old Bushland Beach man was taken into police custody late on Monday, accused of being behind the wheel of a Holden Statesman on Friday night that police allege was chasing a stolen Hyundai through Townsville when the tragedy unfolded. The driver of the allegedly stolen Hyundai, 18-year-old Gregory Clubb, was also arrested and later charged after allegedly going on a crime spree to Cairns and back following the crash.

The 33 year old lost control after she saw her husband driving with another woman. She faced the Townsville Magistrates Court in January where she pleaded guilty to dangerous operation of a vehicle. Police prosecutor Sergeant Tim Madsen said police were dispatched to attend a car crash on Pallarenda Rd on October 30, last year. He said officers arrived at the scene where they found two children inside an Toyota Kluger with extensive damage . A second vehicle at the scene was also damaged.
