Pilot killed after fighter jet crashes during take off from air force base
Aircraft investigators have confirmed that the plane which crashed after taking off from US Nellis Air Force Base was a Dassault Aviation Mirage F-1, a French built fighter jet.

A statement attributed to base spokesman Lt. Col. Bryon McGarry confirmed the crash occurred about 2:30 p.m. but did not provide details about the type of aircraft, the condition of a pilot or anyone else aboard, or whether there were injuries to people on the ground.
The Mirage F-1 operated by a contractor hired to provide adversarial air support crashed after taking off from the Air Force base Monday, officials said.
