A total of 541 people were vaccinated on the 2nd day of the vaccination programme in the capital.
Among the vaccine recipients, most were health care professionals.
They were vaccinated from the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda General Hospital and Kuwait Maitree Hospital.

A total of 567 people who received their first doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine have been kept under observation for seven days before the start of a countrywide vaccination on February 7.
“We’ll observe the vaccine recipients of pilot vaccination for seven days and will start a nationwide vaccination programme on February 7,” Dr Md. Shamsul Haque, line director (MNC & AH) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), told the Daily Sun on Friday.
Some 26 front liners received Covishield vaccine in Kurmitola General Hospital on Wednesday when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination programme. And 541 others received the vaccine in five hospitals in the capital on Thursday under a pilot programme of the vaccination.
