It s almost time for restaurants, bars, cafes, brewpubs, food trucks and other food and beverage businesses to apply for $28.6 billion in COVID relief, and the federal Small Business Administration and the Independent Restaurant Coalition have ways to help them prepare now. Because money from the Restaurant Revitalization Fund is expected to go quickly, business owners are urged to be ready to apply on Day One. In the first 21 days after applications open, the SBA will make it a priority to fund businesses owned by underserved communities  women, veterans and socially and economically disadvantaged persons. It will consider remaining applications after that.
