At around 1:30pm, a 52-year-old driver rear ended another vehicle at the intersection of Agostini Road and Vanderlin Drive. The man was found to have been disqualified from driving a motor vehicle, and after a preliminary breath test was conducted he returned a roadside reading of 0.168%. A drug test also returned a positive result. He was arrested and later charged by police from Darwin Traffic Operations with: 1 x Drive without due care

At about 11:15am, the vehicle the female was travelling in was apprehended on the Stuart Highway in Pinelands, after leaving a hotel in Palmerston. The vehicle was subject to a search, locating four suitcases containing a combined total of 56kg of cannabis. The 45-year-old woman was arrested at the location and later charged with: 1 x Supply schedule 2 substance – commercial quantity 1 x Possess schedule 2 substance – commercial quantity She was remanded to face Darwin Local Court today.

The 22-year-old woman was at a licensed premises in Mitchell Street in the early hours of Sunday morning without a mask. A security guard asked her to don her mask and she allegedly refused. On being removed from the premises, an altercation ensued and the woman allegedly spat in a staff member’s face. Police arrived shortly after and took the woman into custody.
