Fond du Lac County sheriff s deputy hurt in scuffle with window peeper

TOWN OF ELDORADO - A Fond du Lac County sheriff s deputy was injured during a scuffle late Monday with a man who had been looking into windows late at night along a rural stretch of road. Several deputies responded about 11:30 p.m. to an address on State 26 for a report of man with a backpack walking around the residence looking into windows. Lt. Chris Dobyns said they found the man walking on the highway and he appeared to be under the influence of narcotics or experiencing a mental health crisis. The man also had injuries consistent with sliding along a road surface, commonly referred to as “road rash, Dobyns said.

Deputies arrest Oshkosh man reportedly looking in the windows By FOX6 News Digital Team Published  TOWN OF ELDORADO, Wis. - A 38-year-old Oshkosh man is in custody after there were reports of a suspicious person walking around a private residence and looking in the windows. The report came into authorities around 11:20 a.m. on Monday, April 19. A news release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff s Office says the suspicious person was reported in the Town of Eldorado. When deputies arrived, they found a man matching the description walking along State Highway 26.  Deputies began to speak with this person for identification and to inquire about the person’s reported behavior, the release says. Deputies observed the person appeared to possibly be under the influence of narcotics or experiencing a mental health episode.   They also observed the person had injuries consistent with sliding along a roadway surface also known as road rash.  

Fond du Lac police chase: Milwaukee man arrested after Walmart robbery

FOND DU LAC – Police arrested a 60-year-old Milwaukee man Tuesday after a chase on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac County. Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to a report that a man took cash from a register at the Fond du Lac Walmart and drove away, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said officers found the vehicle in the area and tried to stop it, but it continued south on Rolling Meadows Drive at high speeds. Fond du Lac police ended the chase, but the Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the vehicle again and tried to stop it on I-41 near Lost Arrow Road.
